We did the rafting with the family. The entire experience was awesome. Our guide, Travis, was fun, knowledge and skilled at navigating the water. We felt safe the entire time with a raft that included ages 50 to 7 years old. The camaraderie between the guides was fantastic to witness. We will definitely be going back to do a spring run!
Yogurt selection is OK, ice cream selection is great.
Whoa. Super disheartened to have to leave a review like this. Stopped into Sweet Adventures before lunch time, let our children pick a few candies from the bulk buy area of the shop ($2.50/ 0.25lb). I should have been wary when I realized the gummy candies in one bin were hard (didn't check the other bins as the children weren't interested in those shapes/flavors). I didn't see the kinds of softening packs I've seen in similar shops in the bins and just assumed it was from that/gave the benefit of the doubt (huge mistake). We purchased some of the candy that looks like peas and carrots, which, in my experience taste like and have a texture similar to that of candy corn (soft). Unfortunately we did not check this before paying. I let the children have their candy after lunch, so a couple hours after purchase. The candy was so hard I heard my oldest bite down on it - it shattered in his mouth. Thankfully didn't chip or crack his tooth (that would have made for a bad end to a Spring Break trip for sure!). (I should probably note that the candy was tied up in the plastic bags we purchased it in, inside my backpack, which was not left anywhere cold, so I am certain the candy was stale and hard, not cold or frozen.) I immediately Googled the store's name to find their phone number, but one is not listed. I was under the impression that this store is linked with the adventure company across the street, so I called that number and yes, they are linked. I asked to speak with a manager/supervisor and explained the situation. There was NO apology or any offer to make things right. I guess thanking me for the notification was all the lady I spoke with could muster for the day. Find another shop for bulk candy purchases here in Glenwood Springs is my advice. As an aside, if the lady I spoke with was the one working the shop this morning, I guess I shouldn't be shocked by her behavior (still in shock nonetheless), as she did not acknowledge us when we walked in, did not apologize when we asked for a second empty candy bag as they were all out (as were many of the varieties in the bins), and was flippant when we paid. My children were well behaved while in the shop, and I can't think of anything my husband or I could have done or said that would have earned us this sort of treatment. Beyond leaving this review wherever I can to protect future potential customers, I have been in touch with the Garfield County Health Department regarding this matter. Buyer beware.
Cute little store, wonderful selection. The ice cream is the best in town.
Selections are great, but vary depending on what's in and freshly available.
Good ice cream that was not freezer burned and a fresh waffle cone. Sweet Adventures serves Dryers ice cream FYI.
Great service, family owned, ice cream scoops, cones and shakes are bigger than normal (compared to Denver).
