A great place to come stay for a few days with quite a few things to do in the city itself whether it be hiking the Red mountain or Doc holiday trail, relaxing at the hot springs, or taking a nice walk through the downtown. You'll also have Hanging lakes a short drive away for more options. Only complaint i could have is the massive bridge construction they have going on right now, but lets be honest what part of colorado isnt doing some form of highway construction.
Just spent 5 days in Glenwood Springs with the family and it was the perfect getaway. We rode the train from Denver which just added to the experience. Our stay included great food at local restaurants, lots of time at the hot springs pool and a trip up to the Glenwood Adventure Park. Lots of fun!
Loved Glenwood springs. The shops and restaurants are great but the city needs more public restrooms. The hot springs and vapor caves are amazing. Be sure to use the bathroom before you leave your hotel or restaurant because none of the shops will let you use their bathroom.
Great town nothing but pot heads running around.
It's a very interesting city. They ate doing a lot of construction right now which makes navigating the city difficult. It has interesting American Western history.
