Worse customer service by any dealership i have ever been to. They are unwilling to help. i called to make an appointment for my dodge avenger and they were about a month out and i explained to him what the car was doing and he said he had no idea what i was talking about but a tech would call me after calling 5 days in a row to speak with a tech. he told me he cant help me without seeing the car and has never heard of a car losing power( which i heard is pretty common). bad customer service all around.
And the worst part? I've gone OVER A WEEK WITH NO CAR. They apparently "don't have loaner cars" and since I didn't purchase my car from them specifically, won'y pay for a rental for my inconvenience of being without a car for over a week. The car is under warranty and they act like it's an inconvenience to repair it. Likewise, they give me zero information upfront. It has taken me calling them daily to get updates and even then it's always just "maybe tomorrow". Honestly, if the day they'd looked at it, they'd called to inform me that they had ordered parts which would arrive in a week and as soon as the parts got in they would repair the car, I wouldn't be so angry. But alas, it is too much work to call and inform their customers of the status of their car and give an upfront date of when it might be repaired.
Of course, a week or two later the transmission light began doing the same thing, on randomly and driving poorly, then off and driving fine. I called Berthod again and they were a month out for appointments, but mentioned it might be the transmission fluid (not covered under warranty) and suggested I take it to a local shop to get it checked out. I did, and it turned out that the transmission hydraulic sensor was malfunctioning (is covered under warranty) and needed to be replaced, among other things that needing replacing.
Berthod was still a month out for appointments, but since I couldn't reliably drive my car and already had instructions from the local repair shop on exactly what needed to be replaced, they said I could come drop it off and they'd take a look at it as soon as possible. Dropped it off on Monday after hours. Tuesday went by... Wednesday went by.... Thursday went by and I finally called to see if they'd even looked at the car. They hadn't, but were going to get it checked out on Friday. I called on Friday and 'the transmission guy had called in sick' and they'd get to it Monday. Called Monday afternoon and it wasn't ready but said that it would be soon and they'd call me tomorrow (they didn't).
Thank you Don for the prompt response in resolving the warranty issue, and thank you to Rance and Rick for going above and beyond to fix our snowblower today. You guys were awesome.
Look, I understand it's the only Jeep dealership in the valley so they're busy, BUT just a little customer service would be nice.
I called them Tuesday, it wasn't ready, but I finally got an update- they'd ordered new parts and were waiting on them to arrive. They were supposed to arrive that day (or so they said) and then it would be a day of work on the car. It's now Thursday and the parts haven't even arrived. They are apparently at 'some warehouse' and even though they have a tracking number, for some reason cannot give me an estimate of when they'll arrive.
Bought a used truck. Salesman wasnt pushy which I appreciated. Got in and out relatively quickly.
Purchased a used 2014 Cherokee (not from Berthod) in May and in the end of June the transmission light would randomly come on, the car would drive rough, and then the light would be off a day later and driving fine. One morning I couldn't reverse so I got it towed to Berthod to get it checked out. After a day or two of sitting there, they called to let me know there was no light on and the car was running fine. They checked the codes and all seemed good and well so I should come pick the car up. I thought that was strange because I literally couldn't reverse two days before, but picked it up and drove it home.
