When issues were brought up from the past, she blatantly disregarded anything I said and went in one ear and out the other. I booked the reservation hoping when I arrived something would've been done to offer some type of compensation of some sort.

Since then I've continued to stay as a loyal guest to a small time hotel at a time when things were tough for hotels in the Glenwood area.

I agreed only because the carpet was replaced and figured the infestation of ants/pincher bugs would have been taken care of. NOT!

That being said, a first floor room is a room that is like a basement room with windows at street level.

Upon check-out I brought my issues past and present to the front desk agent.

I have to begin by stating I've been staying as a guest of The Affordable Inn for a minimum of 7+ years and sometimes multiple times during each year.

I have been understanding in the past, but can not stay quiet any longer.

Now to my most recent stay September 19th -21st 2017.

She had the nerve to tell me that every time I try to book a reservation I try to get something FOR FREE! She also said that their rates are $59 and should be happy and expect issues like that for a hotel that charges such cheap rates. She also tried to to turn things around and say "it sounds like our hotel does not fit MY needs" and should probably look elsewhere.

The staff is GREAT except for one of the day clerks. She is very rude to women yet all flirtatious with men. She don't do her job well for customers because she is the "Manager"and thinks we are to do for ourselves or find out info on our own. All others do job so GREAT and tend to customers needs. I do stay every other couple weeks due to rates are reasonable. Housekeepers are so awesome and quick at getting done. I just love the evening and night staff. They are awesome and will take the time To help you what you are looking for as far as what you want to do and where to visit..

Decent hotel for the cheap price. I chose it since it was pet friendly and it was only $15 a day for my dog. The bad part of it was the dog smell in the hotel. The room was like a lot of hotels. Not the nicest but livable for a few nights. It was in a very confvinient location. The breakfast was very limited. It was more like a pastry bar there wasn't even fruit. But other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Since I've began staying with them I was attracted to them for the vacation packages they were able to provide in the beginning.

Now it seems they have had a falling out with The Riviera restaurant and no longer offer the prime rib dinner, so I was told by the overnight front desk agent before he recently passed away...May he rest in peace.

Upon arrival I requested a second floor room given my past experiences with insects in my room from previous stays and was totally disregarded and given a first floor room.

On another recent trip we were made aware the water was to be turned off the FOLLOWING morning ruining our plans for the following day and forced to get ready and check out earlier than expected....missing our hike to Hanging Lake.

Options for breakfast were stale bagels, stale biscuits, or stale bread for toast. There was a leak from the bathroom above ours that was terribly patched. The telephone didn't work. The bed was uncomfortable. We found several spiders in our room. The smoke detector in our room went off at midnight. Several outlets didn't work. Housekeeping did a nice job, but you can't polish a turd.

Upon booking I asked the Front desk for any compensation for past stays and issues since nothing has been offered in the past over several years. I won't mention her by name, but she works the day shift from 7-3:30pm approximately. Lynn who works mid shift has been fabulous, including the overnight shift person.

Now I have to bring up the most recent stays during my stays February 2017 till now, September 21, 2017.

For example, they had the swim and stay package which included 2 nights stay, 2 hot springs pool passes and prime rib dinner for two at the historic Riviera restaurant in downtown Glenwwood....for approximately $160.

They were replacing the carpet which was infested with insects and mold when I booked the reservation but never told at the time of booking. The place was a mess and noise throughout during the day making our stay very annoying.

Over the many years I have had several issues during my stays including having to sleep in insect infested rooms(multiple times) after agreeing to move rooms to a second story floor without any compensation.

Lives up to its name...Affordable, plus clean and friendly staff. Price of $59 a night is reasonable, which also includes continental breakfast!

When I returned to room and decided to take a shower and I then found pincher bugs in the shower attempting to climb out, but kept sliding back down to the bottom of the tub. I picked them out and proceeded with my shower and tried to make the best of it.

Upon arriving to the room(room 111) after an exhausting day and just wanted to relax. Ants were found crawling around in the bathroom and into the luggage placed on the floor near the hallway that is near the bathroom. I attempted to pick up as many as I could and dropped them off at the front desk complaining of insects in the room. Was told "Sorry".
