The public areas throughout the hotel are beautiful. The outside dining area was great to sit in and relax while having a meal. Similarly, the inside breakfast dining area was great. The food at both was very good. The room was good, not excellent. Don't forget that a summer trip to the hotel can be rather warm as their is no AC (it is a historic hotel, so this makes sense). The room was clean, but somewhat start/empty. However, overall it was a great experience and I would do it again. If you want to go to the hot springs don't forget that they have a package for two that includes a night stay and tell tickets to the hot springs!
This hotel was very cool to stay at, we loved it and had a great time. Odd shows on the TV though. We didn't even know it was haunted until we looked up more about it's history. We gopt a creepy vibe and thought it was just the older feel of the hotel. We liked it though!
The place has historic charm. We stayed in a family room, 4 queen beds in two rooms with a full bath, and it was very restful. The large windows looked out on the mountains. Yes, it's a little creaky, but there was work going on that showed to me that the hotel is getting TLC. The lobby and restaurant we're amazing. High ceilings, fireplaces, seasonal decor, comfortable couches and chairs... I really enjoyed the public spaces. All at rates comparable to a boring chain hotel. Also across the street from the hot pool. Amazing package, we'll be back.
The hotel is beautiful and has a lot of history behind it. The location of the hotel is right across from the main springs and within walking distance of Ironwood as well as many restaurants and shops. The service we received was exceptional and the staff were very friendly, and knowledgeable of the area. There is a nice cafe, bar and sitting area outside that was very comfortable during the summer. The only downsides to our stay was that the parking filled up and we were forced to park on a side street, and the room was fairly outdated, in particular the bathroom. These were not huge issues for us however, and the room was clean and everything was in working order. For the price, the stay was certainly worth it and we would definitely stay again if we had the chance.
Beautiful and historic. Staff was super friendly but the rooms were definitely a little unexpected... they are pretty outdated which wasn’t really shown on the website. I understand this is a historic hotel but some things could definitely change. It was a pleasant stay though. And great location as it is right across the street from the hot springs.
